DINNER/EVENING TIME

DINNER/EVENING TIME AT THE LUSTIGS
My rendition of "cooking with my kids"....I felt like the best mom at that moment looking at the joy on Isaac little face as I let him help......
Oh oh.....Do you see what just happened here....hopefully the oven will kill off any germs....it may cause friends to second guess EVER eating over at our house again!

DINNER/EVENING CRAZINESS
Dinner time and just evenings in general are crazy loud times at our house and I get to be a part of it every day!!
No longer do I eat meals back in my bedroom!! Or hunched over my chair holding my head in exhaustion and nausea.

Now I get to prepare our dinner, set out the plates and silverware,   feed the babies, and laugh with the family, as we sit around the table talking about our day (talking loudly with excitement and interrupting each other with side stories and jokes).
I have never been more joyful about cleaning dishes!  I love being a mom as I make a home and care for my family.  Of course Jeremy and the kids are always helping me out, but I can do it without oxygen cords dragging, IVs hanging (getting caught on drawer handles....ouch!) and I have the energy of an authentic Mexican jumping bean!! (do jumping beans really jump....I read that they did on Wikipedia)
I think that I tire everyone out with my incessant talking/singing and running around.

BEFORE DINNER TIME AS I AM SETTING OUT THE FOOD
Madison and Savannah looked so pretty the other night before dinner that i just had to snap this shot.  I do not get many opportunities to get pictures of my girls
Before dinner snack.....I put the casserole in late, so Savannah offered to hold Isaac over with a little treat
 Lots of this
Plenty of that
 more of that
Isaac's teddy bear just bit him so Isaac had to put him into time out
 Two minutes...set the timer
Yay.....teddy said sorry and now everything is better
Oh no!!! Isaac had to put him into timeout AGAIN....discipline in hard for sure....especially if you want that teddy bear to grow up to live a virtuous life

TIME TO EAT
Isaac loves his noodles
Sweet brother Isaac takes care of Gracie Ann while mommy cleans up the dishes
DO NOT PULL GRACIE ANN'S HAIR.....THAT IS NOT NICE......DO NOT MAKE ME COME OVER THERE!

Dinner time is so very important! It is in the breaking of the bread, where we always find Jesus

"Then the two from Emmaus told their story of how Jesus had appeared to them as they were walking along the road, and how they had not recognized Him until He was breaking the bread"
(Luke 24:35)

BATH TIME
Not much to say about bath time other than I totally love it and tonight our Lord inspired me to bathe my two babies together for the first time.  This is only my second time bathing Gracie Ann as I could not carry her and did not feel safe holding her over the sink to give her a bath.  Now we can finally use our tub!
 Washing Isaac
Time to wash little Gracie Ann
Isaac is a good helper.....gently washing Gracie Ann
Mommy finished up washing both of her beloved babies and it was time to get out

"I'm cold mommy!"
"Ahhh....now I am warm and even have a towel on my head like my sisters do after their bathes"
Gracie Ann is all bundled up and sleepy....time to get her ready for bed and just sniff that clean baby hair

Thank you Jesus for busy evenings.....It is the most hectic blessing in all of the world....plus the best stuff happens in all of the craziness, which always makes for the best stories later!
I wouldn't trade any of this for the world!
I love you so much
love,
kerry ann
