MY PRECIOUS LITTLE BOYS

Little boys
When you speak
I can't help but kiss your cheeks
I love the way you grab my hands
And tell me all about your plans

Stories read, Prayer is said
Close your eyes, sleepy head
While angel linger in your dreams
And hold you in their feathered wings

Just like you, I was small, not that long ago at all
I wish you all the happiness
That God gives freely if you ask
When you reach for the stars
Don't forget who you are
Please don't turn around and grow up way to fast
See the sand in my grasp
From the first to the last
Every grain becomes a memory of the past
Oh, life's an hourglass

"Hourglass"
Lyrics by Mindy Gledhill

Oh my Dearest and Most Precious Jesus,
You have blessed me with these two little boys.  They are mine to return to You, having grown in virtue and having learned what it means to truly love and serve You, Who is Perfect Love.
Guide me in raising them so that they may forever keep You in the center of all that they do.
Please Dear Jesus, give Nicholas and Isaac the Grace to offer everything that they have and all that they are, to You.  I want them, more than anything, to be Your true delight, Father
Love, kerry ann

ONE FUN FRIDAY

BED HEAD IN THE MORNING.....AND DRAGGING OUR BLANKIE AROUND
By the way, I LOVE baby-bedhead...and how he tiredly holds his blankie as he slowly wakes up

He's officially awake now....no more tired! Isaac wants to play!

WE MET OUR FRIENDS AT THE PARK TODAY
(Total last minute)

THIS WAS ISAAC'S FIRST PARK VISIT.....BEING OLD ENOUGH TO REALLY PLAY, THAT IS
It was a really beautiful park in Colleyville.  It had a water play area and all kinds of swings and slides!  Isaac loved it!  He couldn't decide what to do first
Nicholas is such a sweet big brother...he showed Isaac around and took him over to the water play area to "cool off"
My little boys LOVED getting wet in their clothes

Isaac apparently had A LOT of fun and was totally asleep before we left the parking lot of the park

DINNER DATE WITH MY KIDS
After a short rest and some more afternoon hanging out with friends, we went out to dinner (Daddy wasn't going to be home for dinner tonight, so it was just the five of us on our own)
Love these special little ones
 Isaac eating chips
 AND Maraschino Cherries

ISAAC FED HIMSELF MAC N CHEESE FOR THE FIRST TIME TONIGHT
HE USED A SPOON.....NOT VERY WELL, BUT HE DID IT!!
I would help him load the spoon and then he would take it and dump most of it on his lap.....Isaac would then try and scoop the mac n cheese that had  fallen on his lap, spilling the rest of the noodles off of the spoon!  It was QUITE a mess but VERY cute, indeed!
I cannot believe that he is so big now.  Isaac has a long road ahead before he will have truly mastered the spoon, but tonight was a GREAT start!  Love you little guy!
Look at those CHEESY fingers!

Thank you, Jesus for special days that are filled with little "happies" which cause these days to stand out special  from other days.  We never know what You have in store for us.  I never even planned an outing for today....You just showered us with this amazingly fun summer day.  You created so many smiles today......like You always do!  I love you, Father

MADISON GOT HER TEXAS DRIVERS PERMIT

Madison got a 100% on her permit test

My little baby girl, Madison decided to take a giant leap into adulthood today by getting her Texas Drivers Permit

Oh Dear Lord, prepare my heart for this new chapter in her life.......in our life

Madison started Drivers Ed at the beginning of summer and went today with her Daddy (and My True Love) to the DPS to get her learners permit.  I consider this whole "learning how to drive" task, a "Daddy/Daughter" activity.
I have been the one taking Madison to Drivers Ed everyday, but the actual  physical learning to drive for REAL,  behind the wheel of an actual car is entirely...."Daddy's Department"
My beautiful baby girl sitting behind the wheel of a car for the absolute first time ever.  She looks so cute in that jeep.........too cute!
Here she goes for the first time EVER.....with her Daddy,  joined by her little Brother Nicholas, and our dear friend, Andy in the backseat
Yikes!!! She is driving away.  I know that she is scared to death.  I am praying for HER peace and for DADDY'S patience

It is a huge day at the Lustig house!
I am so proud of you, Madi-Cakes

Dear Jesus, Please keep my baby safe....I know that You will because as much as I love her as only a mommy can......You, as her Perfect Father loved her first (with a Perfect Love) and her fragile young soul is more precious to You than gold

FATHER'S DAY

HAPPY FATHERS DAY DADDY
Early morning "Father's Day" breakfast in bed
Spicy scrambled eggs with salsa AND Tabasco...4 pieces of toast adorned with different jellies and a strong black coffee
 Opening Father's Day cards
Everyone was enjoying watching Daddy as he ate his breakfast and read his cards (that the kids and I picked out for him with love)
Isaac was really pleased to read the cards with Daddy......he loved all of the moving parts of our fun, pop-up and musical cards
He is our #1 Dad.....there really is no better Daddy for us
Our amazing father with our four beautiful children.  Without them, he would not be a father!
These five people are the loves of my life

Here is a peek at our cute and creative cards for our Daddy.  No card sold in a store will ever truly describe our Daddy's true amazingness!  He is an incredible father and husband!  At this  moment he is balancing the jobs of 10 people, and yet he never tires of taking care of us

WE LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH DAD
We are truly grateful for you

Jesus, thank you for creating earthly fathers, especially for our father,  who takes great care of our physical needs and most importantly as our spiritual leader, takes care of our souls as well

HAPPY  FATHERS DAY

I have to mention a Happy Father's Day to my father (as you know I have always been a total Daddy's girl)
Oh Dad, you know how much I love you and how much you mean to me!  I pray for you each and every day, as I know that you are always praying for me.....in fact, you taught me how to pray fervently, without ceasing and with my entire heart.

This is me and MY Daddy, with whom, I owe my entire life to.....without him, there would be no me!
I love you Daddy

A DOUBLE DATE WITH GREAT FRIENDS

Nicholas took this pic of me and my Sweet Love, Jeremy

We got to go out on a double date with our great friends Tim and Michele.  It was one of those nights that I looked forward to for weeks and then it was finally the day of the big date.....and then all of a sudden it was over, before I even had a chance to really let it all sink in!
I guess that is what makes good friends into great friends......you never get enough time with them, you never run out of things to talk about, and you always leave wanting more!
Tim, Michele, me and Jeremy outside of Bui Na Braza a super yummy Brazilian Steakhouse

A little comment about the Brazilian Steakhouse
I saved up room in my tummy all day (only eating breakfast) in preparation for this great feast and I still was full WAY too soon! It is just so much meat!!  I felt like a queen at a royal banquet!
This is why I am not invited to royal banquets.....they are just too filling!

Okay....enough about the meat
(even though there was a crazy amount)

We always have so much fun with Tim and Michele.  God brought us together, as we continually encourage each other to better ourselves, our marriages and our families.  We support each other in our journey towards Heaven and our souls are truly safe in each other's presence.....aside from all of that greatness.....BOY do we have a lot of fun!!  We could laugh for hours about absolute nothingness!

After an evening with great friends who inspire us and uplift us and make me laugh so hard, that I literally cried....I always ask myself as we say our goodbyes......
"Why don't we do this more often?"
I ponder this thought for a moment, as we promise to plan another special evening soon.......and then as Jeremy and I walk to our car (holding hands....date nights are GREAT) I remember why we don't do this every weekend......Well.....
"Because we have FOUR KIDS!!!"
I love saying that!
"Because we have eight kids"
would even be more fun to say, as I am a glutton for children!

But I am obediently content with my four little blessings!  I am honored to have been blessed with four and I keep telling myself that I don't always have to have everything exactly MY way.  Think of what a mess my life would be if I was in control of it!

Thank you, Jesus
for date nights with my "True Love" and with genuine friends.....and for returning home after a date, feeling rejuvenated, feeling relaxed and walking into a quiet house with four sleeping angels who call us "mom and dad"

SOME SUMMER SWEETNESS

CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM CONE
Isaac had his first chocolate ice cream cone today in Granbury at Stumpy's Lakeside restaurant
This pic makes me hungry for chocolate ice cream....I miss Blue Bell!!

ROLLERSKATING WITH FRIENDS
Okay, so Madison was invited to go skating with some of her friends from school (the kids had planned it at the last minute) and what a blessing it was, that all 3 of the older kids and their friends got to enjoy such a fun evening
On our way to "Skate Town" to go skating with friends....a super fun and last minute invitation....I love when Jesus does that!
In the pic above....
Isaac was watching The Wiggles video in the car....and the older kids were totally singing along to the nerdy but fun music!

 Nicholas and Landon
Savannah and Kenna
Madison and some of her sweet friends from school

Thank you Jesus, for summer nights and good friends and for rollerskating...
Rollerskating.......an activity that will truly always be one of the most exciting, in the world...How awesome to experience....if only for a couple of hours...to literally have wheels for feet!
I could get so much done if I had wheels for feet...I would be so much more efficient!

BAYLOR ALUMNI WEEKEND-JW MARRIOT RESORT SAN ANTONIO TX

Another Fun Baylor Orthodontic Alumni Weekend.....this year it was at the JW Marriot in San Antonio

PLANE RIDE TO SAN ANTONIO
We met this nun on our plane!  What a blessing that we got to sit near her and get to know her a little
She is from the order of St. John Bosco...What a lovely girl.  We thanked her for her dedication to our Lord with her beautiful and special vocation.  She gave Madison her cell number and email if Madison every wanted to contact her.  Madison was thrilled!
Isaac slept so well on the plane......unlike the FOUR HOUR plane ride to Costa Rica.  The ONE HOUR flight to San Antonio was much better for us
Got there just in time for dinner on the first night.  This was Isaac's first time to ever color with crayons.  Of course....he colored for a bit and then proceeded to EAT the crayon...luckily it was non-toxic
Nicholas with our sweet cousins Kerry and Courtney
We spent the entire next day swimming, water-sliding, and floating in the Lazy River
Me and my Sis got to hang out together that evening, just visiting which is something that we don't get to do a ton with our busy lives.  It is mostly phone-visiting!  It was great to see her!
We had a fun party with all of the Alumni and their families that night with a DJ and dance music.  The dance floor lit up!  Isaac thought that this was the coolest thing ever....I really did too!
The floor kept changing color as the music changed....everyone was having a ball!
Isaac was in the center, causing quite a "baby-stir" all of the older kids loved him and wanted to keep watching him dance......Which he loved to do!
Dr. Suess teaching the kids some fun dance moves
Everyone was so jovial and excited.....what a fun evening with our friends!
 Isaac still dancing!
Photo Bomber (Campbell Young)
All of the kids were awarded special honors and ribbons for things that they had accomplished or enjoyed on this super amazing weekend.  This is a fun tradition that has been going on for decades!
Madison and Isaac and their medals
Nicholas and his friend Luke sitting by the dance floor taking a break from the crazy dancing
These sweet boys look forward to seeing each other each summer
Not sure who is being crazier.....Madison or Isaac....probably both are being crazy and having a blast while doing it!
Isaac being silly the morning that we are packing up to leave
We had a great time this weekend and look forward to next summer
