MANY BLESSINGS FROM MY SWEET JESUS

MANY HAPPY BLESSINGS AROUND THE LUSTIG HOUSEHOLD
That brought us so much joy
THAT WE WILL FOREVER BE PRAISING OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
WARNING.....
There have been many beautiful yet scary trials that our Lord has seen us through, but day to day there are also A LOT of wonderful blessings and "happys" that we have been showered with that I just had to post about
I KNOW that this is a LONG post!
Please forgive me in advance
There is just so much that we have to be thankful for and I never want Jeremy, myself or our children to ever forget what He has done for us

I HEARD ISAAC CALLING ME FROM MY BATHROOM

"MOMMY!" "PEEESE COME HERE!"
Translation
(Mommy...Please come here!)

This is what I came into find
"Hey little Buddy........ready for a diaper change?"
Not sure why he is wearing a Sombrero

NICHOLAS LOVES TO SERVE OUR LORD AT MASS
Here is a picture that I snapped quickly of Nicholas serving at Mass
Please know that the Mass had ended so I could "respectfully" take this photo but I was still trying to take it quickly without making a scene

DAILY MASS WITH ISAAC
Isaac is attracted to ANYTHING that he sees on the floor of the church.....especially underneath the pews.  Well, he spotted a used tissue....and dove to the floor to grab it!!!!

I pulled an invasive NASCAR Mommy-Maneuver (with Gracie Ann strapped to my belly in her kangaroo pouch)....
and pulled his hand away, just in time......explaining that we don't ever want to pick up used tissues off of the floor.

He quickly became interested in the hymnals, so I discretely kicked the used tissue further under the pew in front of us so that Isaac would not see it again.
(I always pick up any trash found on the floor of our church, but since I am still very much at risk for getting sick....I figured that the worst thing that I could pick up during cold/flu season, was a used tissue.....so I HAD to leave it there)
We got through the entire Mass with him NOT reaching under the pew and not speaking of the tissue again...Yay!

After Mass, I took this picture of Isaac in an outfit that my friend Bree had made for him.....I wanted to show her how cute he looked.
Well.....
I honestly did not even notice anything at the time of taking this picture in front of church......it was only later that evening, after sending this picture to Bree....I did a double-take.......
LOOK WHAT HE IS HOLDING
Yes....you guessed it......THE DIRTY TISSUE...Ugh!!

DATE NIGHT WITH JEREMY ON MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND
Our wonderful and thoughtful friends (The Clarks) surprised Jeremy and I with a reservation for us at my favorite restaurant, Tru-Lucks for my birthday-eve.....Madison was at work
(she started her very first job working at Tylers)
Shane took Savannah and Nicholas to a movie, while Jen came over to watch the two babies
They literally kicked us out of the house......and ya know what I say to that......Thank you so much!  Jesus gave us this great blessing through our friends, as we needed that date night more than they will ever know

GISELE
She is the friend that is ALWAYS thinking of others, even when her life is so busy!
In some of my worst times of sickness or suffering, Gisele has drug me from the rubble on more than one occasion, NEVER counting the cost
Well, our little Gracie Ann now has a G-button that we feed her through, which gives such peace to two parents (Jeremy and I) that would lay awake night after night, wondering if she was getting all of the nourishment that she needed...not to mention all of her medications that she so often would spit out as she has lost her ability to swallow.......okay, I know, I got off the subject a tad...I am sorry
ANYWAY
Gisele offered to sew button holes in each of Gracie Ann's sleepers so that her feeding tube could be hooked up with her sleeper still zipped up to keep her warm.  This was a HUGE project that Gisele took a lot of time researching.....how to make the hole big enough to fit the clip of the tube and she also had to buy a certain backing where the stitching was, so that it would be soft on Gracie Ann's skin.
All in all, Gisele so mercifully helped our little girl in a most beautiful and virtuous way, using her gifts of both her time and her talent!

All I did was show up at her house, with a bag full of sleepers and Starbucks coffees
Gisele so lovingly measured and sewed each one

BEFORE
AFTER
I took a couple of the sleepers home with me that day as Gisele  was going to finish and bring the rest of them to me at Mass the next morning

So, that next morning at Mass, Gisele came in and sat down right behind me and the babies.  She had walked in after I had already sat down so it took me a while to even realize that she was there.

Gracie Ann began to have quite a violent seizure towards the very end of Mass......She was being very noisy, but Father Gary was already processing out, so I just held her close to me and waited for him to pass.
I looked down at Gracie Ann with such pain in my heart, as she was suffering through this seizure and noticed that her nose was running, her eyes were watering, and that she was drewling really bad.
At that point and I thought to myself.....
Why did I NOT bring a burp clothe with me?
It would have been such an easy thing to throw into my bag!!
Again....this conversation with myself was entirely in my head

As soon as I had thoughts of regret.....I see a burp clothe being handed to me from behind me.....from Gisele.  Of course she would have one in her purse as she is the best grandma EVER and is always prepared.  I was so thankful and then noticed that it had a monogram on it......I was thinking that it was one of her granddaughters' burp clothes.....either Jade or Malea's
BUT IT WASN'T....IT SAID
"GLA"
IT WAS GRACIE ANN'S MONOGRAM
Gisele had made it for Gracie Ann the night before, after finishing the button holes in Gracie Ann's sleepers.
I looked at Gisele, holding back my tears and thanked her...then I looked up to Heaven, where I saw our Lord's most Immaculate Face and realized that He was there (of course He always is) BUT in such a profoundly tangible and powerful way....and then I could no longer hold back my tears.
Thank you, Gisele for always reflecting Christ in all that you do and for allowing Him to work through you constantly
Thank you also, Gisele for being my "Bestie Chica" as we always say

And thank You, Jesus for loving me so much and always being there for me at each and every moment

ISAAC LOVES POTTY TRAINING
There is a lot of celebrating around our house about every 3 to 4 hours

MORE MOMMY WALKS
AND OTHER FUN TIMES WITH
MY FRIEND JEN
Nicholas and I outside Jen's house waiting to go walking
Jen and I have commited and victoriously kept up with our daily mommy walks now for over 3 1/2 months
Nicholas and christopher (Jen's son) also take golf lessons together, so each Wednesday while they are at their lesson, we do our daily mommy walks up and down Bearcreek Pkwy instead of around our neighborhood

Then these two cuties practice together at home......ALWAYS wearing their visors whether they are inside of the house or outside.  They take it very seriously and they are really doing well

Golf cart rides around the neighborhood makes us feel like kids again

And fun dinners out with our super cute boyfriends

Jesus, thank You for all of our wonderful friends and thank You for even blessing us with such amazing friends that live RIGHT next door to us.
We are so very blessed and we love to see You working through these friendships as we inspire each other, uplift each other and pray together

A SPECIAL VISIT FROM MY MOM AND DADDY
(My daddy has not gotten to come over to my house in a long time)  My mom surprised me one afternoon by stopping by to see me and to bring our family dinner!!
Thank you mom for dinner and for bringing daddy for a visit
I love you both so much

ME AND MY GIRLS

I cannot believe how big this girl has gotten!
She started at 4 lbs 11 oz and now she is 14 years old!!
I love you Savannah Banana

At a hair/makeup appointment for Madison, as she prepares for her school's Mardi Gras dance. I was too sick to come with her to her  appointments, for her last three dances, I was too sick to even help her get ready, so today was a very important event for us

A picture of Madison from that evening leaving for the dance with her handsome date

ROAD TRIP COLLEGE VISIT TO
TEXAS A&M
(all of the kids loved it of course.....it is a most beautiful and spirited school)
WE ALSO VISITED BAYLOR AND TCU
(Jeremy went to Baylor and I went to TCU)

I cannot believe that Madison will be a senior in high school next year

A FEW MORE ISAAC MOMENTS AS HE IS THE MOST ENTERTAINING OF THE FAMILY MEMBERS

OUR LORD JESUS CONTINUES TO BRING US SO MUCH JOY AND LAUGHTER THROUGH OUR LITTLE ISAAC
(Isaac's name means "Laughter" in Hebrew....very fitting)

 Twinning with daddy

Someone found my headbands and thinks that he is funny.......and he is right!
I could not stop laughing

I took this little monkey to Madison's hair and makeup appointment with me and it was just as you would expect......and super fun "Monkey Show"

ISAAC AND HIS FRIEND KOLBE

Isaac and Kolbe were trying to sit on the couch WHILE resting their feet on the coffee table
little boys are lots of fun....especially when they are trying to act like their daddies
Isaac surprised me a bit when he put this "golfball bag" on his head
He said that he was veiling for Mass like mommy and ready to go to church

Isaac loves Gracie Ann so much....he prays for her FIRST each and every night
He is always hugging and kissing her
My handsome boy dressed for Mass and then his friend, Grady's birthday party
Isaac is just such a cutie
Isaac's "Toot Toot" made from a paper towel tube.....this is a Lustig family tradition starting with Jeremy's mom and her sister Janet when they were just little girls
(their daddy "our Papa" always made them "Toot Toots"
SERIOUSLY HOURS OF FUN

ONE MORE BLESSING TO PRAISE JESUS FOR

I figured out how to tube feed Gracie Ann in the car and on the go.  We had quite a few appointments this past Thrusday and I usually just make sure that we are home for feeding time, but Thursday would be impossible, as her appointments were lined up running over her feeding times......so I prayed my way through this challenge
I figured out how to afix her feeding unit to the back of my driver's seat headrest AND then to the handle of her stroller, when we arrived at her opthomologist and she was not finished eating yet.
You cannot see it in this picture, but I was even able to carry in my Starbucks coffee as she continued eating

THANK YOU JESUS

(She did spit up ALL over me and on the floor in the waiting room)
My jeans were SOAKED and smelled like soy milk
But as expected, the staff was so kind and helpful as I tried to wipe up the splatters......luckily very little food got on Gracie Ann's sleeper

And needless to say, Starbucks or no Starbucks, as Gracie Ann projectile-spit up all over me, I did NOT look like the modern special-needs mommy that I had envisioned myself as, only 10 minutes earlier
Baby barf makes your skinny jeans look dorky

But all in all, it was a victorious day and I raise my hands in praise of my Father in Heaven

Thank you Dear Father....You are so good to us and to ALL of Your children and You love us all absolutely Perfectly.  Please continue to keep our family close to You, under Your Watchful Eye.....Please never allow any of us to be plucked away from you Jesus....not for even one second.
I love you so very very much
love, kerry ann
