HAPPY FEAST DAY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

HAPPY FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

13 years ago today I found out that I was pregnant with our sweet Nicholas!!

Jeremy and I had been praying for a third baby and just the week before this day back in 2003, I had taken a pregnancy test and it had come up negative. I was a little sad, but thought to myself "well maybe next month." I took Madison to Pre School at St Elizabeth's the morning of December 8th before heading to Mass to celebrate the feast of this holy day. I returned home with baby Savannah and took another pregnancy test, just because I do that sometimes, even though I know it is going to be negative (I know… It's just what I do)
Well…Jesus had a special surprise for me that morning! A positive pregnancy test! I was so excited that after thanking Him, I called Jeremy at work to tell him right away! I just could not wait until he got home.

Then, I headed back to school to pick up Madison (as pre-K was only a half-day back then). I was beaming with great news and could barely keep it to myself.... then I saw my three great friends, Larisa Weldon, Laura Perez, and Amy Jones Larsen, standing in the hallway visiting ( waiting to pick up their kids as well)
Without a thought I ran up to them, totally interrupted their conversation as I jumped up and down yelling, "I'M HAVING A BABY!!!"  They so sweetly immediately stopped what they were doing and took time to totally celebrate with me with lots of hugs and laughter!!!
I will never forget that day for the rest of my life!!! Thank you Jesus and my friends who made it an extra special feast day for me!
Happy Immaculate Conception!!!
