MOMMY WALKS

MOMMY WALKS
ME AND JEN

"FREEZING COLD DAYTIME EMBARRASSMENT"
(49 DEGREES IN ROANOKE TX)

The walk started pretty normal until the boys started to feel mischeiveious
Nicholas and Christopher bundled up as usual but then decided to make this walk a little bit more interesting....they changed into shorts!
Then it was decided (by the boys) that wearing shorts in the freezing cold wasn't enough of an adventure, so they took it a step further.......well, about 10 steps further!

(They CLAIMED that they were not cold)

Jen and I were totally Embarrassed on our "Mommy Walk"!!!! boys will be boys (I Guess).... supposedly they were "challenging" each other???? Jen and I pretended that we did not know them, as cars would drive by....We would surely have received the worst moms award that day
Notice the "A Christmas Story" reference in the last picture (frozen pole-tongue challenge)

They had so much fun AND bragging rights!
It totally made Jen and I laugh and so really the entire shenanigan brought a lot of joy to our walk and to my day

MORE WALKS

Our Lord totally blessed me with this lovely neighbor that is my inspiration for walking each day.....I need my medicines of course, but I totally believe that our fun "mommy walks" are what is truly strengthening my new lungs and plus the exercise gives us so much more energy for the rest of the day.

WEIGHTS
We decided to make our walks even more challenging by adding some wrist weights
That first time using them was such a beating!!  We haven't even used them again!
But, we will ease into the idea and be carrying wrist AND ankle weights before we know it
They seemed so innocent and light until we were about a mile into our walk....then they were just plain grueling!

NIGHT WALK
It is so nice that Jen is my neighbor because we can just walk whenever we are both able.....even at night and we had to take a pic of our MATCHING gloves
Matching is the best...it makes just about ANYthing DOUBLE the fun

Thank you God for my sweet neighbor.  She is a blessing indeed and I will be forever grateful for her
love,
